Born in Chicago to an Indian father and an American mother, Meena's mixed cultural background has helped her bring a unique perspective to her work. Driven by her desire to bring affecting stories with social impact to the screen in a visually compelling way, she is a valuable asset and long-term collaborator with award-winning narrative and documentary directors.  Meena’s work has been shown at the Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, the Los Angeles Film Festival, amongst others. She is an alum of the American Film Institute and Columbia College Chicago.  Meena is a founding member of  Driftseed , a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C. that seeks to build a better world for women and girls through education, outreach and documentary film.
